Balanced metrics and noncommutative Kähler geometry

چکیده

In this paper we show how Einstein metrics are naturally described using the quantization of the algebra of functions C∞(M) on a Kähler manifold M . In this setup one interprets M as the phase space itself, equipped with the Poisson brackets inherited from the Kähler 2-form. We compare the geometric quantization framework with several deformation quantization approaches. We find that the balanced metrics appear naturally as a result of setting the vacuum energy to be the constant function on the moduli space of semiclassical vacua. In the classical limit these metrics become Kähler-Einstein (when M admits such metrics). Finally, we sketch several applications of this formalism, such as explicit constructions of special Lagrangian submanifolds in compact Calabi-Yau manifolds.

Constructing Balanced Metrics on Some Families of Non-kähler Calabi-yau Threefolds

We construct balanced metrics on the family of non-Kähler CalabiYau threefolds that are obtained by smoothing after contracting (−1,−1)-rational curves on Kähler Calabi-Yau threefold. As an application, we construct balanced metrics on complex manifolds diffeomorphic to connected sum of k ≥ 2 copies of S × S.

Some discretizations of geometric evolution equations and the Ricci iteration on the space of Kähler metrics, I

In this article and in its sequel we propose the study of certain discretizations of geometric evolution equations as an approach to the study of the existence problem of some elliptic partial differential equations of a geometric nature as well as a means to obtain interesting dynamics on certain infinite-dimensional spaces. We illustrate the fruitfulness of this approach in the context of the...

Smooth and Singular Kähler–Einstein Metrics

Smooth Kähler–Einstein metrics have been studied for the past 80 years. More recently, singular Kähler–Einstein metrics have emerged as objects of intrinsic interest, both in differential and algebraic geometry, as well as a powerful tool in better understanding their smooth counterparts. This article is mostly a survey of some of these developments.

(kähler-)ricci Flow on (kähler) Manifolds

One of the most interesting questions in Riemannian geometry is that of deciding whether a manifold admits curvatures of certain kinds. More specifically, one might want to know whether some given manifold admits a canonical metric, i.e. one with constant curvature of some form (sectional curvature, scalar curvature, etc.). (This will in fact have many topological implications.). One such probl...

Finsler Black Holes Induced by Noncommutative Anholonomic Distributions in Einstein Gravity

We study Finsler black holes induced from Einstein gravity as possible effects of quantum spacetime noncommutativity. Such Finsler models are defined by nonholonomic frames not on tangent bundles but on (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds being compatible with standard theories of physics. We focus on noncommutative deformations of Schwarzschild metrics into locally anisotropic stationary ones with s...
